Damaged or Lost Items
If an item is lost or returned in damaged condition, you will be responsible for the replacement cost of the item as well as a $5 processing fee. Items overdue for more than 60 days are considered lost.
Overdue Notifications
- The Pelham Public Library currently emails a reminder to patrons before their materials are due to users who have opted to receive email notification. In the event a patron does not receive this email, whether our or their responsibility, they are fully responsible for the due dates on the material and no grace period or fine reduction will be given.
- Patrons are notified when their material is overdue. For those patrons not using email notification, a written notice is mailed after 7 days and a final notice after 21 days.
For more detailed information refer to the Circulation of Materials Policy on our Library Policies page.
